I decided to make this podcast after directing and producing “Living With Coyote,” a short documentary.  While researching the documentary, I spoke with so many hard working scientists who didn’t really have a way to share their work with the public. I thought I could expand that territory through the podcast “From The Field.”

I also noticed a lot of “doom and gloom” news headlines, which focus on impending environmental disaster in order to mobilize people. Instead of creating action through fear, which creates misplaced and unused energy, I believe in mobilizing people through the positive and exciting work being carried out on a daily basis.

Through “From the Field,” my mission is to highlight scientific progress, present positive and engaging facts and collaborate in forming a more efficient planet.
